SMART IN FLOW CONTROL

Welcome to SAMSON

We are an international engineering company specializing in the development and manufacture of control valves and process automation. Our headquarters is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. 2,000 people, including around 100 vocational trainees and students, work here. Over 4,600 people work worldwide for the SAMSON Group.

We operate 16 production sites in nine countries to manufacture valves, self-operated regulators, actuators, valve accessories, signal converters, controllers and automation systems, sensors and thermostats as well as digital solutions. They are used to control the flow of liquids, gases, steam and other media. SAMSON's products and services focus on the safety and reliability of industrial process plants as well as trending topics, such as digitalization, sustainability and the energy transition.

We serve customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, water treatment and energy supply industries. Be it LNG supply, the transport of hydrogen, the extension of district heating networks, the production of coronavirus vaccines, the manufacturing of batteries for electric cars or carbon-neutral fuels: SAMSON is at home in these emerging markets too.

Our company was founded in 1907, based on the groundbreaking idea of our founding father, Hermann Sandvoss, to use a self-operated thermostat valve to regulate the temperature in grain silos. Since then, our product innovations have helped shape industry in Germany. Classical areas of research, such as materials engineering, fluid mechanics, cryogenics, acoustics, control engineering, EMC, device safety and system integration, are combined with innovative technologies, including additive manufacturing, data analytics and cloud technologies in our ROLF SANDVOSS INNOVATION CENTER.

With our pilot development unit SAMSON Pilotentwicklung, the FOCUS-ON joint venture concluded with KROHNE and other strategic partnerships, we are working on new, partly disruptive solutions for the process industry. This includes FOCUS-1, the world's first smart process node for the process industry.

At the same time, the MainChange project, which is the largest innovation venture ever undertaken in the 116-year-long history of the company, is well under way. We are building an ultramodern factory in the city, which will be state of the art in terms of science, technology and the environment, on a 14.3 ha plot of land on the opposite side of the river Main in Offenbach. The MainChange lighthouse project stands for sustainable growth, competitive manufacturing operations and the workplace of the future in Germany.
